For the first time, Yilport Leixões handled over 660,000 TEU! 2018 was thus a historic year for the Leixões container terminal.

Last year, Yilport Leixões processed 660,832 TEU (402,509 containers), a result that surpasses the previous record high set in 2014 for 659,046 TEU.

In 2017, the Leixões container terminal counted about 633,000 TEU, which means that in 2018 it grew more than 4% and, as a result, it strengthened its market share.

As in 2014, also in 2018 the record result was leveraged by labour problems in other ports. But this only highlights the irreplaceable role of the port of Leixões in the national economy and the ability of Yilport Leixões to respond effectively even to demanding requests.
