In the first eight months of the year, between January and August, the Leixões Container Terminal handled 470,915 TEU. It is the best result ever for the period considered.

In year-on-year terms, the Leixões Container Terminal gains 0.8%. Which, in addition to the record, means that it continues to gain market share, since the national market fell 2.6%.

In August alone, growth in Leixões reached 8.6%.

These results are all the more extraordinary as 2019 was already the best year ever for the Leixões Container Terminal. In addition to 2020, it is being heavily conditioned by the Covid-19 pandemic, which is severely limiting economic activity.
