TRUCKS ATTENDED ON 11 MINUTES 2016-03-04 TCL's activity is not limited to the handling of containers from/to ships calling the terminal. The efficiency of operations goes far beyond the quay front and is also essential, for example, the loading and unloading of trucks that daily "call" the Leixões Container Terminal to deliver or collect goods. And there are hundreds! In the balance of the first two months of the year, 11 minutes, eleven!, it is the average length of time each truck to be attended at TCL, since arrival until authorised to enter the gate. Thus, the average length of stay of trucks inside the port perimeter, i.e. from entering until leaving the Main Gate, is only 38 minutes. With this operational performance, TCL is confirmed, if necessary, as a key link of the logistics chain that includes favouring the competitiveness of all the other players involved. |
