TCL WITH RECORDS ON SERVICE TO TRUCKS 2016-01-05 In 2015, TCL set a new record for swift service to trucks calling the Port of Leixões to deliver or pick up containers. For the first time in the concession’s history, the average waiting time for the service of trucks at the Gate fell below nine minutes: stood at 8.85 minutes!!!! Along the same lines, and as a result of continued efforts to improve productivity, the average time spent inside the port perimeter of the trucks intended for the container terminal stood, again, under 35 minutes: 33.6 minutes was the mark achieved! These reductions in the trucks service time to unload/load containers in TCL are not only important for hauliers, who see reduced the downtime of trucks and their drivers, thus being able to use one or the other, in performing more services and thus increasing their productivity and profitability. The shortest processes are also essential to the fluidity of the logistics chain (that Leixões and TCL are integral and crucial parts). |
