TCL WITH HISTORICAL RECORD IN MAY 2016-06-06 May 2016 was the best month in the history of the Leixões Container Terminal’s concession! In May, TCL handled 67,156 TEU, a figure that surpasses the previous monthly maximum, recorded in November 2012, when were handled 65,938 TEU. Compared to the same month of 2015, the result now achieved represents a growth of 33%. It can be said, and it is true, that this result - as November four years ago - was obtained in exceptional market conditions. But that does not decrease, on the contrary, its brilliance. Because it reveals that even when subject to high operational stress situations, TCL demonstrates responsiveness. With this new exceptional contribution, TCL closed the first quarter with a total of 280,213 TEU handled and an accumulated annual growth of over 12%. |
