Even the festive season did not interrupt the daily operation of the Leixões Container Terminal. Between Christmas and the New Year 25 ships called TCL to unload or load goods.

As a result, 6,766 containers were handled, corresponding to 10,717 TEU, which increased (mostly) the concession’s 2016 numbers.

The most productive day (in number of units handled) was Wednesday, 28 December. 1,411 containers were handled, or 2,041 TEU, as a result of the operation of five ships (among them the Ship of the Week).

Ashore, this week was marked by the handling of 5,469 containers, with 2,339 arriving and 3,130 leaving TCL’s container yard by land.
