TCL WINS SHARE OF CONTAINERS MARKET 2016-07-13 In the first five months of the year, the national ports handled 1,056,683 TEU, 0.5% more than in the same period of 2015, announced the Mobility and Transport Authority (AMT). Leixões grew much more than average. Between January and May, TCL accounted 284,740 TEU, representing an increase of 12.4% and allowed significantly to increase the domestic market share. About the remaining ports, Sines handled 569,694 TEU (6.3% more), Lisbon 125,316 TEU (38.7% less), Setúbal 68,485 TEU (39.1% more), Figueira da Foz 8,448 (1.7% less). In May, while the container market fell 4.4% regarding the number of TEU, TCL recorded the best month ever with a 32% jump, exceeding 67,000 TEU. |
