TCL "THREATS" THE DAILY 4,000 TEU 2016-04-13 After overcoming the 3,500 TEU handled in a single day, TCL now exceeded the threshold of 3,750 TEU. It took place on the 9th April, rightly the best day of the week no. 15 (from the 4th to the 10th April) at the Leixões Container Terminal. That day were operated eight ships (including the one that would become the Ship of the Week) and unloaded/loaded 2,227 containers, which corresponded to "those" 3,757 TEU! Moreover, it was a very busy week at TCL. In all, 31 ships operated and handled, at the quay front, 8,276 containers, or 13,507 TEU. For the balance to be complete, should be added up the 7,167 containers handled at the container yard as a result of receiving 3,611 and shipping 3,556 containers that entered/left the port by land. |
