TCL STRENGTHENS POSITION IN NATIONAL MARKET 2016-03-02 In January, the movement of containers in the mainland ports fell 2.4%. In Leixões and at TCL increased 13.4%, according to data from the Mobility and Transport Authority (AMT). At the start of the new year, all the mainland ports handled approximately 187,000 TEU. TCL counted over 54,000 TEU and increased its market share by 27.6%. In other ports, Sines decreased 1.8% year on year, to 100,000 TEU (of which about 80% are transhipment movements), Lisbon lost 27.3% to 29,000 TEU; and Setubal grew 24.9% up to 11,9 thousand TEU. |
