TCL STRENGTHENS LEADERSHIP IN IMPORT-EXPORT

TCL is, increasingly, the country's largest container terminal in the handling of import and export containers. So says the Mobility and Transport Authority (AMT).
In the first four months of the year, TCL handled 216,653 TEU, representing an annual growth of 7.4%.
In all of the Mainland ports, the movement of containers totalled, according to AMT, 830,624 TEU, 1.9% more than in the same period of 2015.
Considering only the import-export traffic, discounting, so the movements of transhipment, and always according to AMT numbers, Leixões handled about 210,000 TEU, compared to about 91,000 TEU of Sines and 111,000 TEU of Lisbon.
That is, the first four months of the year, TCL accounted for nearly half of all containers handled in national ports with origin / destination in the hinterland.
