TCL SPONSORS IMDG CODE FIRST PORTUGUESE EDITION 2016-05-12 TCL sponsors the first Portuguese edition of the IMDG, or International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, prepared by Tutorial. The IMDG Code has entered into force ten years ago, but only now comes the translation into Portuguese. A delay which may be explained by the fact that is concerned a 1,144 pages’ edition. Compliance with safety rules on the transport of dangerous goods at sea is of utmost importance and the availability to the sector of the legislation in Portuguese greatly facilitate the work of professionals. Recognising the importance of the issues involved and the work developed by Tutorial, TCL decided to join this initiative by sponsoring the edition and, thus, contributing to greater diffusion of the applicable standards and awareness of its importance. The original work is presented today, the 12th of May, Thursday, at 14:30, at the Port of Leixões, in a session to be held at APDL’s Infante D. Henrique Auditorium. |
