In the first half of 2016, port concessionaires paid 35.2 million euros in rents. Only TCL has guaranteed more than a quarter of that total.

Between January and June, the Leixões Container Terminal paid the Port Authority (APDL) a total of 9.4 million euros in rents, equivalent to 26.7% of the total incurred by all port concessions’ holders.

The data were released by the Project Monitoring Technical Unit (UTAP).

As a matter of curiosity, it should be noted that the second largest concession, in terms of rents paid, yielded to the respective port authority, 4.1 million euros; And that, behind TCL, the second container terminal concession paid 2.2 million euros in rents.
