Once again, the Leixões Container Terminal largely exceeded the threshold of the 2,500 TEU handled in a single day.
In the best day of the week, February 27, the TCL operated five ships and handled 1,845 containers, equivalent to 2,759 TEU. Proof of the Terminal’s operational capacity but also of the growing dimension of the ships that call the Leixões Container Terminal.
Throughout the week, between the 23rd of February and the 1st of March, the TCL received and operated 26 ships. From those calls resulted the handling of 7,984 containers, 12,599 TEU.
To these movements further compounded the 6,734 containers that entered (3,596) and that left (3,138) the terminal’s park by land.
