TCL strengthened its share in the domestic market for container terminals and consolidated its position as a leading leader in import-export traffics, according to data from the Mobility and Transport Authority (AMT) for the first eight months of the year.

During that period, container movement at Mainland ports decreased by 1.3%, to 1.75 million TEU, while TCL grew by 7.3% and exceeded 448 thousand TEU.

The AMT report draws attention to the fact that transhipment movements in Leixões represent only 7% of total traffic, compared to 78.9% in Sines (with a total movement of 946 thousand TEU).
