TCL FOSTERS LEIXOES NUMBERS2016-12-28 Between January and November 2016 the port of Leixoes handled 16,65 million tons of cargo, 4% less than in the same period 2015.However the handling of containerised cargo kept growing up 7% on 2016, ammounting to 5,91 million tons.On the upside was also the handling of ro-ro cargo, which reached almost 772 thousand tons (18% plus than in the same period of last year).We can therefore assume that TCL, who handles both cargoes at Leixoes, did well its part to help Leixoes to get a new annual maximum throughput record.However, hampering a positive outcome, bulk liquids decreased 13% and bulk solids decreased 7%.Breakbulk cargoes went up 6%. |
