TCL EXCEEDS THE 150,000 TEU IN THE FIRST QUARTER 2015-04-03 Between January and March, the Leixões Container Terminal handled 150,477 TEU (95,459 units). After a downward start of the year, largely explained by the severe slowdown in exports to Angola, the movement of containers significantly accelerated in March. And with that, at the end of the quarter, the cumulative movements represent a decrease of only 5% over the same period in 2014, which was truly exceptional. It should be also emphasized that with this quarterly result TCL remains proportionally above the historical levels of 600,000 TEU handled per year. |
