Between January and October, mainland ports handled 2.2 million TEU, 1.9% more than in the same period of 2015 and a new maximum, said the Transport and Mobility Authority (AMT).

In Leixões, TCL handled 550,747 TEU, which represented a year-on-year growth of 5.1% and, thus, a gain in the domestic market share.

If, in absolute terms, Leixões and TCL are in second place in the national ranking, discounting the transhipment moves, i.e., considering only the import / export containers, the national leadership by TCL is uncontested, with almost twice the number of moves of its nearest competitor.
