TCL ACCELERATES SERVING TRUCKS 2016-09-09 Eleven minutes, eleven! was the average waiting time for each of the thousands of trucks that called the Leixões Container Terminal to unload or load containers in August. Aware of the supply chain needs - where road transport plays a crucial role - and aware of the importance of minimising equipment downtime, TCL always has endeavoured to ensure maximum fluidity in serving trucks, helping to free them to do what they are supposed to: carrying cargoes. And the results are plain to see. Every truck that "called" TCL in August had to wait only, on average, 11 minutes to be served. And the average time spent within the port perimeter (from the time it enters to the time it leaves through the Main Gate) stood at 39 minutes. |
