“Safmarine Saloum” was the last Ship of the Week at the Container Terminal of Leixões on week # 53, the last one in 2009.
The ship, working for Maersk Line, began being operated at 8:23 am on the 31st December and the last container was handled at 5:19 pm on the 2nd January 2010. Which means the end-of-the-year was celebrated in Leixões.
However, the end-of-the-year celebrations didn’t interfere with the good rhythm of the cargo handling. On the contrary, per each hour of effective work 44 containers were handled.
