The movement of goods in major continent ports reached last year's record volume of 82.5 million tonnes.
When compared with the registered in 2014, there was an increase of 4%, which extended to 27% cumulative increase in the cargo handled in the past four years.
The port of Leixões strengthened its position in the national context, by growing 4.1% to a record high of more than 18 million tonnes. The Leixões’ market share reached thus 21.7%.
