OVER 11,000 TEU ON WEEK No. 22 2015-06-04 Between 25 and 31 May, the Leixões Container Terminal was the point of call for 28 ships. Together, they handled 6,852 containers, to which corresponded 11,309 TEU. Wednesday, May 27, was the day of more intense work. Then were handled 11 (!) ships and unloaded/loaded 1,517 containers, equivalent to 2,564 TEU. It should be noted the high number of ships operated and the small number of containers handled in each one, both requiring from TCL a high operational readiness ... which is not reflected in the overall statistics of container handling! In addition to the movements at the quay front, was still registered the reception of 3,791 containers and the dispatching of 3,018, by land, totalling over 6,719 movements. |
