The port of Leixões contributed decisively to the overall result, with a 6.5% increase in the global merchandise movement, to a new historical high of 19.5 million tons. As per the other ports, Sines achieved 49.9 million tons (-2.5%), Lisbon 12.2 million (+ 19.2%), Setúbal 6.6 million (-5.6%), Aveiro 5, 2 million (+ 13.5% and a new record), Figueira da Foz 2.1 million (-0.2%) and Viana do Castelo 411 thousand tons (+ 5.1%). |
