On its call at the Container Terminal of Leixões on week # 8, “MSC Fado” handled more than 1,000 TEU, deserving thus the title of Ship of the Week.
“MSC Fado”, working for Mediterranean Shipping Company, was at Leixões on Wednesday the 17th of February, having discharged/loaded 1,059 TEU, within the short time between 10:23 am and 9:39 pm.
Effectively, “MSC Fado” was operated at an average rhythm of 63 containers handled per hour (more than one per minute), which enabled a significant reduction of the time of stay at the terminal.
TCL’s answering capacity was confirmed once more, enabling thus more and more ship-owners to be attracted and to concentrate their cargo handling in Leixões.
