"MAERSK NORFOLK" PASSED BY TCL AT "100 PER HOUR"
2015-02-04

It was, one can almost say, a meteoric passage through the Leixões Container Terminal.
In its most recent call at the TCL, the "Maersk Norfolk" handled 1,237 TEU between 11:03 and 19:10 on 27th January!
Accounts made to the hours of effective work, the average pace of containers handling reached the 100 units per hour! A container handled every 36 seconds.
An impressive record in any port of the world, which says well of the TCL's reaction capacity. And also what it can be accomplished - even if the operating conditions are not ideal - when all parties do their job well.
With this performance, the "Maersk Norfolk" could "only" be the ship of the Week no. 5 at TCL.
