LEIXÕES WITH A RECORD MOVEMENT UNTIL NOVEMBER2018-01-11 In the first 11 months of 2017, the Port of Leixões handled 17.96 million tons, 7.7% more than in the same period of 2016 and a new record (the previous record was back to 2015). Overall, mainland ports handled 88.8 million tonnes from January to June. The Mobility and Transport Authority (AMT) informed that increased 3.9% more than the previous year. Sines handled 46,4 million tons, Leixões 17,96 million, Lisbon 11,2 million, Setúbal 6,1 million, Aveiro 4,8 million, Figueira da Foz 1,9 million, Viana do Castelo 385 thousand tons and Faro 75 thousand tons. The ro-ro cargo, where Leixões is increasingly a national leader, had the fastest growth of 20,9% with operations assured by Yilport Leixões. |
