The handling of goods at the port of Leixões grew 15% in March, with the strong support of TCL.

In fact, if the overall growth of the activity was 15%, the containerised cargo increased by 12% and the ro-ro cargo 25%, year-on-year. In both cases, TCL was involved as a container terminal concessionaire, and as a ro-ro regular-line port operator that call the port of Leixões three times a week.

With the strong growth in March, Leixões closed the first quarter with 4.6 million tonnes handled, 7% more than in the equivalent period of 2016.

According to the port administration, looking at the evolutionary trend, the results now achieved in the port represent a growth of 2.6% of the monthly average.
