LEIXÕES ADDS UP 4.3 MILLION TONNES UNTIL MARCH 2016-04-27 The movement of goods at the port of Leixões reached 4.3 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2016, announced the Port Authority. Compared to the same period of 2015 there was a drop of 3.9%. The containerised cargo handling increased by 3.9%, the breakbulk rose 20.9% and ro-ro cargo 34.6%. Instead, the solid and liquid bulks broke when compared with last year’s first quarter. Partly - justifies the Port Authority - due to bad weather conditions prevailing in Leixões in this period. |
