What would have been unthinkable not so long ago is now becoming more and more usual: the Leixões Container Terminal once again surpassed the 4,000 TEU handled in a single day!

Now it happened on the 18th of July, with the operation of ten ships. 2,397 containers were unloaded / loaded, corresponding to ... 4,006 TEU!

It is never too much to underline that these results are achieved with the operation of a large number of ships in a short time, with a relatively small number of moves per ship, and with the South Container Terminal in the midst of modernisation and expansion works!

18th of July was, thus, the best day of the week, week nº 29, comprised between 13 and 19 of July.

Throughout the week, 32 ships called YILPORT Leixões to handle cargo, in a total of 8,118 containers, 13,481 TEU.

In the container yard, the usual bustle of trucks (and trains) remained, with 3357 containers entering and 4392 leaving, for a total of another 7749 moves.
