ANOTHER DAY (FAR) ABOVE 3,000 TEU 2015-07-22 This is starting to become a (good) habit. Once again, now on week no. 29, the Leixões Container Terminal has exceeded 3,000 TEU handled in a single day! This time it took place on July 15. When were operated six ships, including the Ship of the Week ("Safmarine Nimba", 1,712 TEU). In total were unloaded/loaded 2,019 containers, which equalled 3,258 TEU! The balance of the week - 13 to 19 July – the TCL added 25 ships operated and 8,531 containers (13,397 TEU) handled. Adding the 7,084 containers handled in the container yard (3,516 arriving, 3,568 exiting), the accounts are complete. |
