Despite the crisis caused by Covid-19 and which imposes extra care in protecting workers, the Leixões Container Terminal continues to operate without restrictions and with high levels of productivity.

Proof of this, if necessary, was another day largely above the 3,000 TEU handled. It happened on 21 March, the best day of week 12, as a result of the operation of nine ships. 2,102 containers were then unloaded / loaded, corresponding to 3,398 TEU.

In addition, week 12 (16 to 22 March) was of intense work at YILPORT Leixões, with the operation of 26 ships and the handling of 10,324 containers, or 16,162 TEU, at the quay. Numbers to which must be added the 9,343 containers handled at the container yard, with 4,305 received and 5,038 shipped, by truck and train.
